teaching - creating shared, exploratory learning spaces
Trained at the Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance (SEAD) and academically grounded in Gender Studies and Educational Science (Humboldt University of Berlin), I merge anatomical and biomechanical knowledge (Axis Syllabus) with critical perspectives on the body, gender, and power. Teaching is central to my practice—an extension of choreographic thinking into shared, exploratory learning spaces. I have taught workshops and held lectureships at institutions such as HZT Berlin, UdK Berlin, the University of Cologne, and the Biennale Tanzausbildung. My classes focus on contemporary dance, instant composition and improvisation, contact improvisation, and partnering. By integrating principles from biomechanics, physics, and anatomy, I aim to expand movement possibilities and create inclusive spaces for diverse bodies and experiences. At the moment I have a teaching position at the UDK (Faculty of Music) in dance.
Additionally, I teach yoga as a somatic practice — a space where breath meets movement and presence becomes process. My classes are dynamic yet reflective, inviting both sweat and stillness, and a quiet curiosity to listen inward. Informed by my teaching of the Axis Syllabus, I question fixed ideals of form and health, creating space for embodied exploration. The yoga mat becomes a frame—not a boundary, but a site for unfolding, for reclaiming one’s body, agency, and inherent worth.
